Rose Irelan

Rose Irelan’s lifelong connection to nature has shaped her journey as an artist. Growing up with a passion for sketching, she pursued art from an early age, leading to a career as an illustrator, graphic designer, and now over 20 years as a full-time painter and instructor. Residing in San Diego, Rose’s Contemporary Impressionist style captures nature’s rugged beauty with bold brushstrokes and masterful use of color. Influenced by masters like Sorolla and Zorn, she studied under Daniel Pinkham, further refining her craft. Specializing in plein air painting, Rose’s works reflect her deep understanding of light and color. She also teaches workshops and has received recognition from the American Impressionist Society and Oil Painters of America. Passionate about sharing her knowledge, she continues to teach, travel, and exhibit her work.
